Warm Wood Tones Meet Crisp, Modern Lines

Warm wood tones meet crisp, modern lines in this stunning kitchen designed by Westwood’s own Anne Woods. Discover how the intentional use of custom cabinets, vertical wood grains, and integrated appliances can transform a high-end functional space into a calm, grounding sanctuary.

A bright, modern kitchen by Westwood designer Anne Woods featuring warm wood custom cabinets with a vertical grain. A large white quartz island sits in the center with a white apron-front sink and gold hardware, set against a backdrop of integrated stainless steel appliances and a large window overlooking a scenic landscape.

There is something special about a kitchen that manages to feel both incredibly high-end and completely grounded. In our latest project, designed by Anne Woods, we wanted to showcase how custom kitchen cabinetry can bridge the gap between clean, modern architecture and the natural warmth of a family home.Warm Wood Tones Meet Crisp, Modern Lines

There is something special about a kitchen that manages to feel high-end and completely grounded. In our latest project, designed by Anne Woods, we wanted to show how custom cabinets can bridge the gap between clean, modern architecture and the natural warmth of a home.

Vertical Grain and Natural Warmth

One of the first things you notice in this space is how the vertical grain of the custom cabinets draws the eye upward. It is a deliberate choice that adds height to the room while providing a seamless, luxury finish. By focusing on that consistent wood grain, Anne was able to blend the natural texture of the material with the sharp, crisp lines of the modern layout.

Integrated Luxury

The integrated appliance layout is a testament to the precision we aim for at Westwood. Tucking the refrigerator and ovens into the custom cabinets allows the stainless steel to complement the wood rather than compete with it. It creates a streamlined look that makes the kitchen feel more like a curated living space and less like a workspace.

A Grounding Centerpiece

The spacious island serves as the heart of this design. By pairing a clean, white quartz surface with an apron-front farmhouse sink, Anne created a focal point that is as functional as it is beautiful. It is a perfect example of how custom cabinets provide the storage and utility a modern family needs while keeping the overall aesthetic feeling grounded.
